Take a Licking and Keep on Ticking Or is that "Kicking"? I have Type 2 Diabetes, high blook pressure and cholesteral but through diet, exercise and weight loss, it's all under control and has been for years. I don't have to take any shots which is a good thing as I don't like needles. They can hurt, and I'm not into hurting myself, so I don't know what I would do if I had to give myself an injection - probably pass out. I exercise and dance and am on a good diet, with some of my favorite foods, i.e. fresh fruit and vegetables and whether it's good for me or not - I love Buffalo! I had a steak and a pot roast at a powwow feast last year and I'm in love. Other than buffalo, it's fish and chicken but not every day. I had a kidney stone. Don't know how I got that. I would've preferred a diamond or turquoise from the Sleeping Beauty Mine but it didn't work that way. As it is, the stone was about the size of a quarter and shaped like a 747. I drank enough water, tea and cranberry juice to float several aircraft carriers but nothing would break up the stone. I dealt with this for about a month, undergoing all kinds of procedures, the thing that finally worked was hydro-therapy. It worked immediately and I was back on my feet driving everybody nuts within 42 hours.
That was about 15 years ago and I've been find since. No health problems or setbacks. I want to stay healthy and in good shape so I try to eat "right" and exercise on a regular basis. It keeps my weight where it needs to be and I don't have to go to a store that sells tents for clothes.
